JGarden Description:This is a tsubo-niwa of irregular shape and approximately 10m x 6m located on the north side of the Architecture Building. It was designed by Shigeru Yura, designer of the Japanese War Cemetery in Cowra (NSW), when he was on the faculty of the University in 1964. The stone lantern was donated to the City of Melbourne by the then Mayor of Yokohama.
