JGarden Description:This was originally the pond garden around Ganjo-ji, a temple founded in 1160 by Iwaki Norimichi. The Jodo style garden, popular in the late Heian period, was recently excavated and restored. The Amida-do to the north is the focus but the rock island in the east pond is also worthy of notice

Without a speck of dust's being raised,
the mountains tower up;
without a single drop's falling,
the streams plunge into the valley.
