Hands-on Japanese Garden Class Announced Contact: JapaneseGardener@aol.com Last Updated: 1/20/2003
Beginning February 2, 2003, Mike Yamakami will begin offering a Japanese garden construction and maintenance class in Marietta, Georgia. The class will cover basic pruning, bamboo fence construction, stone placement, knots, tree transplanting and much more. The class will meet the first Sunday of each month beginning on February 2 at 9am.
The class will be offered on a first-come-first-served basis for up to 10 students but prioity will be given to students and practitioners involved with horticulture and landscape design.
To attend the class, you should:
1. Own your own tools including long-handle pruning shears, saw, work belt, etc.
2. Live in the Atlanta, Georgia area.
3. Be physically fit and able to lift 80-100 lbs.
