GARDEN of the MONTH:
This is the eleventh in the series of photos of North
American gardens. This month's garden is the Denver Botanical Gardens
(http://www.jgarden.org/gardens.asp?ID=284),
an above-average Japanese garden in the middle of downtown Denver.

JGARDEN NEWS
New JOJG Index - In August 2002, we began working with the
Journal of Japanese Gardening
to develop an index to all of the articles that have appeared in that magazine since its inception
in 1998. We are pleased to report that we have a detailed index (short descriptions, authors, etc.)
for all of the issues since Sept/Oct 2001 and summary indexes for all issues prior to that. Over
the next year, we'll be working backward through the remaining issues to fill in the gaps. The full index
is available on a single page at http://www.jgarden.org/articles_jojg.asp.
Back issues can be purchased from JOJG by subscribers to the magazine. Subscription information is available
at the JGarden site.
Seventh Annual Intensive Seminar in Kyoto Announced - The Research Center for
Japanese Garden Art, in Kyoto, has announced they are accepting applications
for the seventh annual
English-language intensive seminar regarding the
history, design theory, and construction of Japanese Gardens. Any persons
interested in receiving more information about the Seminar may do so by
visiting the website, or sending an email or fax to the Center.
The seminar will be held September 29th - October 11th, 2003. More details are at
http://www.jgarden.org/features.asp?ID=58.
New Image Contributions - We've received new imagery contributions from
Jim Phillips (Hayward,
Houston, and
San Mateo)
Thanks to all of you for your contributions. JGarden now boasts more than
1700 images of 90+ gardens from around the world.
NEW GARDENS at JGarden:
