American gardens. This month's garden is the Kuno Garden

kindly let us know about a Japanese garden in the Budapest Zoo that has been there since
1965 and was recently restored. She also sent on several photos. You can see them

All about Roof Tiles (Kawara) - The ceramic roofing tile, or kawara, is an
important part of the texture of the Japanese landscape. With thanks for some help from Mike Yamakami, I've written a
