GARDEN of the MONTH:
This is the eighth in the series of photos of North
American gardens. This month's garden is the Bloedel Reserve
(http://www.jgarden.org/gardens.asp?ID=383)
on Bainbridge Island, Seattle, Washington. It's a sublime garden -- one of the finest in North America, in my opinion.
JGARDEN NEWS
Work Experience: Japanese Gardens - Are you interested in apprenticing
with a Japanese garden professional, but don't know where to start? Well,
if you've got two weeks to six months, or longer, there are professionals
that can use some extra help, while you gain in skills and perceptions.
Get the details at http://www.jgarden.org/features.asp?ID=50
HCC offers Japanese Garden Design Course - The UK Horticultural
Correspondence College is offering a course in Japanese Garden Design taught
by Paul Darby. No prior experience is necessary. Through the course, you
will learn to create a unique, authentic Japanese Garden within a Western
setting. The course covers the philosophy and spirituality of the Japanese
Garden and progresses right through design, then building, to maintenance.

JGarden's German Bibliography fleshed out - Mr. Andreas Bail agreed to
share his bibliography on all things JGarden. This included several books in German as
well as a few we were missing in English. You can see the newly extended German
bibliography at
http://www.jgarden.org/bibliography.asp?TYPE=&LANG=GERMAN. Thanks, Andreas.
